South side community choir's charity summer concert

South side community choir Sounds International will be looking to raise the roof of Eastwood Theatre this Tuesday, June 26, with its summer charity concert Sounds Like Showtime!

The programme for the evening features a mix of well-known songs from top musicals.

It will include performances by the choir’s conductor, Scottish tenor Liam Bonthrone, and accompanist jazz pianist Dan Brown, plus student guest singers from the Royal Conservatoire of Glasgow – more talent in one evening than even Simon Cowell could handle”

Tickets costing £10 are on sale at the theatre box oOffice in Eastwood Park or by calling 0141 577 4956.

Proceeds from this one-night-only event are being donated to Epilepsy Scotland and The Glasgow Children’s Hospital Donor Milk Bank.

Sounds International was founded in 2003 and granted charitable status three years later. Since its formation, the choir has raised almost £100,000 for other charities and good causes at home and abroad.
