Today's Lanimer treats and Lowland Games cancelled in torrential rain
The Children's Treats and the Lowland Games planned for Castlebank Park this afternoon have both been postponed.
Heavy rain has been falling all morning, and the park is boggy underfoot now.
The Lanimer committee has announced the last minute decision on health and safety grounds.
The committee said that a new date for both events will be announced as soon as possible.
Committee members thank everyone for their support, and apologise for the late notice.
