Lanark Archaelogical Society and Rigside Pensioners Association members will enjoy trips to Melrose and Edinburgh respectively while St John’s Trekkers and Biggar Ramblers will be travelling to Pittenweem and Leadhills.

Lanark Accordion and Fiddle Club will host a charity dance in Ravenstruther Hall at 7.30pm with special guests the Keith Robertson Scottish Dance Band.

Top vocalist Johnny M Henderson will be entertaining at Law Bowling Club from 7.30pm while Party Time Disco is at Douglas Victoria Bowling Club from 8pm.

Sunday is sure to be a knock with two It’s A Knockout events in Carstairs and Douglas.

The fun at Carstairs Village Green begins at 1.30pm while the drama in Douglas begins at 2pm.
