Saturday is the final of Lanark Amateur Musical Society’s production of Madness musical Our House and there is matinee performance at 2pm with the evening performance starting at 7.30pm.

Music in Lanark’s final concert of the season beings local harpist Elinor Nicholson to the New Lanark Institute on Saturday night at 7.45pm.

Biggar is certainly busy with the town’s talented twirlers on stage from 7.30pm in the Biggar Municipal Hall on Saturday for its annual dance show.

At the same time over in the Corn Exchange, Biggar Little Cinema presents The Hundred Foot Journey.

The Corn Exchange Art Gallery will play host to 90-year-old artist Kim Redpath’s latest exhibition; you can view Kim’s stunning artwork from 10am to 5pm on both days.

Elsewhere in Clydesdale, there is a Crossford’s Got Talent evening in aid of Cancer Research UK in Crossford Village Hall from 7.30pm on Saturday and on the same evening Coalburn Miners Welfare is the venue for Lesmahagow Juniors annual Sportsman’s Dinner with guests George McNeil, Jim Morrison and Buller Reid.
