What’s on in Clydesdale today?

IF you aren’t planning to attend any of Clydesdale’s gala days today then don’t despair - there are plenty of other events across the area.

Across today and tomorrow the Leadhills and Wanlockhead Railway will host its annual Teddy Bears Picnic.

The fun starts at 11am on both days with a variety of activities planned.

Members of Carstairs Senior Citizens and Crossford OAP Association will be enjoying their trips to Peebles and Stirling respectively while up in Lanark the former stars of the Singing Kettle, including Lanark’s own Anya Scott-Rodgers, will be on stage in Funbox.

The performances of Fancy Dress Fun will be on at the Memo at 1pm and 3.30pm.

And in the evening, the week-long Lanimer events for 2015 are rounded off by the traditional Lanimer Ball, which is being held in Lanark Agricultural Centre.
