This Monday afternoon, May 4, a traditional wool spinning class is being held at Krishna Eco Farm, Lesmahagow.

The class will be a fortnightly event throughout the summer. It is a collaboration between Krishna Eco Farm and Glasgow University. World-renowned American born spinner Jen McCorkell will teach how to spin wool.

Jen is the director of Threads In Time, a company focused on the conservation of traditional skills. She has worked in museums and historic sites for over 15 years. She is officially Spinner to the Chief of the Clan Urquhart.

Participants will learn how to produce hand-spun wool, and her apprentice April Mellor will teach knitting and crochet.
