70 new homes approved for Lesmahagow

PLANS have been approved by South Lanarkshire Council for more than 70 new homes and ‘live/work units’ at a site in Lesmahagow.

The development at Wellburn Farm, near Strathaven Road, was given the green light by councillors on the planning committee.

Banks Property Developments Ltd and George Lammie applied to build 73 new homes, with a further 38 being live/work units or dwellings with separate workshops.
