A wish come true for starlet Eve

An East Renfrewshire schoolgirl has won a role in a London West End show.

It is a one-off gala performance featuring songs from well-known musicals and in aid of charity the Make A Wish Foundation.

She said: “I am really looking forward to it – it’s really exciting.

“I love musical theatre and have been going to theatre school for six years.”

Eve has already been in numerous productions and some TV, most notably as recurring character Eve from Class 4B in CBBC’s first series of The Dog Ate My Homework.

She got to the final nine girls out of thousands for the original cast of West End smash hit Matilda.

Mum Helen said: “Eve is fundraising for the Make a Wish Foundation and has completed a 12-hour sponsored silence.

“She has also done a sponsored cycle with 10-year-old brother Max.”

The show — which will take place later this month — is being presented by the Royal Berkshire Academy of Performing Arts.

They launched the countrywide search for 20 up and coming talented musical theatre performers to join some of their regular cast members for the show.
