‘‘Abandoned’’ dog is back with her owner

A missing dog feared abandoned in Kirkintilloch has been reunited with her owner.

The SSPCA were called by a concerned member of the public when the white English bull terrier was found tied to a lamp-post last week.

But the charity says the incident was a ‘‘misunderstanding’’ and the dog, named Petal by her rescuers, has now been returned to her owner in Hamilton.
