Aldi is coming to Cumbernauld
A popular discount supermarket chain has confirmed that it hopes to open a branch in Cumbernauld.
It’s emerged that German retail giant Aldi is eyeing up potential sites in the town but hasn’t yet decided on a location - despite online reports that Westway Retail Park has been chosen.
A spokesman for Aldi Stores in Scotland stated: “We would very much like to have a store in Cumbernauld and have been looking to find the best location to suit our requirements
“It is premature to speculate about any specific site at this stage but we hope to report further progress in the new year,’’ he added.
