Allan Rodgers heroic efforts save firefighter
NEWLY-retired Lanark firefighter Allan Rodgers, of Green Lady Walk, has received an Acts of Bravery Award.
He rescued a Lothian and Borders colleague from almost certain death in a water-filled pit at a waste management site in West Lothian in May.
Allan (54) was rewarded for his efforts at Fire Service Headquarters in Hamilton, where he received a certificate of congratulations from Chief Officer Brian Sweeney.
