Ambers get green light on radio

Motherwell music duo The Ambers will get nationwide radio exposure on Saturday.

They feature on X-Factor presenter Dermot O’Leary’s BBC Radio 2 show which has a regular slot for unsigned bands.

The Ambers are Jim Holland and Martin Smith.

The Saturday afternoon show (3pm-6pm) has a regular slot for unsigned bands.

The show’s producers were impressed by The Ambers’ latest video and got in touch.

Jim joked: “It’s not every day two old guys from Motherwell get their song played on a prime time BBC Radio 2 show!

“We’re really excited to be featured on Dermot’s show. It’s broadcast throughout the UK and has a massive audience.

“The video was shot by Martin’s daughter, Anna, and she did a great job.”
