Appeal to save three machines at Carluke Brickworks
A FORMER employee of the now closed brickworks in Carluke is appealing for three machines at the site to be saved.
Tom Gray (72) was the works manager between 1983 and 1998 and believes the three Craven-Fawcett brick machines are among only a few left in the UK.
And Tom, who lives in Lanark, believes it would be a real shame if all of the machines at the site were lost.
