When seen on Friday she was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and white training shoes and carrying a black handbag. It is not known if these are the same clothes she was wearing on Sunday.

Sergeant Keith Connor at Partick Police Office, said today: “It is very much out of character for Heather to not be in touch with her friends and family.

“She went missing on Halloween night but was seen by someone who knows her getting off a bus near to McDonald’s on Maryhill Road, across from Tesco on Sunday afternoon.

“However, since then, despite extensive enquiries by officers, including specialist search officers, there have been no further sightings of her.

“She is known to frequent Glasgow City Centre as well as and I would urge anyone who knows her and or her where she is to contact police via the non emergency number 101.

“I would also urge Heather herself to let either her family or police know that she is safe and well.”
