Ay caramba! Sun shines on Mexican-style fiesta
The sun came out for party people at a Mexican family fun day recently in aid of a charity that looks after vulnerable young people in Mexico. The Old Barn at Pollok Park was the venue for the fiesta that raised a bumper sum for an orphanage that rescues and cares for children from backgrounds of extreme poverty, neglect and abuse.
Deborah Grossman, chairperson of the Mision Mexico (UK) charity that hosted the festivities, said: “We raised £1,700 and the day was packed and sunny.”
