Battalion success for 231 BB Stamperland

BBs from across Glasgow came together to take part in the Battalion event at the Emirates Arena last month.

The annual event saw the youngsters aged from P4-P7 take part in different sporting events including the 200 metres and 60 metres, long jump and shot putt.

The BB 231 Stamperland had four boys participate in this event – Lucas Wilkinson, Max Allan, Andrew Thomson and Leon Taylor.

Nine-year-old Lucas did the 231 boys proud taking the first place in the 200 metres and shot putt, and second in 60 metres. This had never been done by 231 before, so everyone was very proud.

The 231 is run by Scott Russell, a local boy who started off in the 231 in P1 all those many years ago.
