Being a Rising Star is Devine
Motherwell woman Laura Devine was named Best Rising Star in the Wedding Blog awards in London run by Wedding and Wedding Flowers Magazine.
The former Dalziel High pupil started her wedding blog, DevineBride.co.uk, when she got engaged in 2015 and following its success left her day job in the city to launch her own wedding tasking business.
Laura said: “It still hasn’t quite sunk in that I am the winner, I was just thrilled to even get a nomination, so I am absolutely gobsmacked that I actually won.

“I felt like I was working so hard for months and nothing was happening, and then everything seemed to suddenly fall into place when they read my name out as the winner.”
