Belmont leavers pay tribute to their principal

Belmont House School seniors bid farewell to the school recently with a prizegiving and now traditional dinner dance.

The six year pupils said goodbye to their principal, Mr Melvyn Shanks, by presenting him with a photo album showcasing school events from 2014-15.

As well as marking their graduation, the gift also honoured Mr Shanks’ 25 years of service at the Newton Mearns school.

The S6s then attended their leaving dance at the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel, where they released balloons — ‘sending their lasting memories of Belmont House to the clouds’.
