Atkinson-Pryce announced that it is with “huge excitement and great pleasure” that it welcomed the author, all the way from Alaska to Biggar, on a return visit to launch her new novel.

Four years since The Snow Child became a global sensation, selling more than 750,000 copies worldwide, Ivey is back with her second novel, To the Bright Edge of the World.

Set against a stark Alaskan landscape during the winter of 1885, the story follows the journey of an explorer through an uncharted wilderness.

Devastated to have been left behind, his wife embarks on a journey all of her own, which proves to be just as challenging as her husband’s.

Ivey weaves historical fact throughout this tale of discovery and loss.
