The charity decided on a bingo night with a difference - it came with glasses of fizz, Prosecco to be absolutely accurate, which helped the night get off to a flying start.

The charity, who specialise in providing personalised support and care services for children and adults who have learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders, and mental health problems living in and around Glasgow and East Renfrewshire were absolutely delighted with the turnout.

Around 65 women came together at Mark’s Deli onBurnfield Road to ‘get their heads down’ for bingo and raise money for Cosgrove at the same time.

The event was an instant sell-out and the Mecca Springfield Quay ensured the night went smoothly by supplying both the bingo caller and books!

Fundraising Executive Helena Winocour said: “This was our first ever Bingo night and it was a sell-out in days.

“ There was lots of Prosecco and lots of prizes! Cash prizes for the bingo and fantastic raffle prizes meant that we had lots of very happy ladies leaving as winners!”

Mark Cohen, owner/proprietor of Mark’s Deli said: “It was a delight to be able to do our wee bit to help out a fantastic charity who do so much good in the community.

“I couldn’t do half of what their volunteers manage to achieve with their clients and they are a credit to the organisation.

“All I did was provide the venue and a wee bit of food, the group did everything else themselves, and I was so pleased to see that the evening was such a huge success for them, having raised about £1,000, so more power to their success.”
