Bizarre theft from Duncarron sparks appeal

Thieves broke into Duncarron Medieval Village last Saturday, September 7, and swiped the shields that cover the giant battering ram Rosie.

The battering ram was famously handed over to the project by actor Russell Crowe

Russell, who has visited the premises made the donationa as a favour to pal Charlie Allan who is chief executrive of the Clanranald Trust which oversees the project.

Locals who spy the shields advertised online or dumped in rural land are asked to contact the trust on 01259 731010.

Alternatively the shields will be accepted back at the gate of the fort with no questions asked.
