Blackwood and Kirkmuirhill Gala 2013 Slideshow
BLACKWOOD and Kirkmuirhill people turned out in droves to watch 11-year-old Bent Primary School pupil Amy Reid crowned gala queen.
Earlier that day, there was a healthy entry in the fancy dress contest which was judged at Blackwood Primary School.
The colourful procession, featuring a float and three pageants, then left the school and toured round the village before heading to a sun-scorched Lochanbank Park for the crowning ceremony.
