Body discovered near busy road in Clydebank

The discovery was made at around 12.45pm on Monday just off Great Western Road.

The death is currently being treated as “unexplained”, with a post mortem examination due to take place.

The body has not yet been formally identified.

Police have been searching for a teenager from the town who has been missing for several days.

Paige Docherty (15) was last seen on Saturday morning when she was walking to a bus stop in the town. She was thought to be planning to catch a bus to a hairdresser in Kirkintilloch where she had been working.
