Body of a man discovered – Brock Burn – Darnley
The body of a man was recovered from the Brock Burn, Darnley around 10am yesterday (Monday 28 September 2015).
A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death.
Formal identification is yet to take place, however, the body is understood to be that of missing man George McCarrick (31).
Relatives have been informed. Police are treating the death as unexplained at this time and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
