Bogus workmen cost Cumbernauld pensioners £6000
A visit to the home of a 90-year-old man and his 84-year-old wife saw two con artists pocket £6000 after promising to fix their roof.
The pensioners made two separate payments to the bogus workman in cash over the course of two days last week.
