Bowling along at Condorrat

Bowlers took some time away from the greens for just a moment or two to have some fun at an annual gala day.

For the members of Condorrat Bowling Club hosted their gala day on Saturday, June 29.

The popular event attracted club members, their families as well as the local community.

And there was something on offer for everyone to enjoy.

Mae Robertson was senior caterer at the event, and offered those who attended a whole host of tasty treats.

Hunger was kept at bay thanks to Aimee Connelly, John Muir, Mary Connelly, Maggie Muir and Nancy Coutts, who looked after sandwiches at the event.

Members of the committee also supported the event including ladies match secretary Moira Cowie, presidents Gordon and Catherine Alexander, and gents match secretary John Cowie.

There was, however, still time on the day for a game or two and some members made sure they had a lot of fun. June and Billy Laing, Elsie Rodgers and Jimmy Crawford channelled their inner Tommy Cooper.

The group got a few laughs with their Just Like That t-shirts and Tommy Cooper inspired hats.
