Braidbar kids impress children’s commissioner

Braidbar Primary welcomed a special visitor this week as part of the school’s Children’s Rights Focus campaign.

Tam Baillie, children and young people’s commissioner for Scotland, met with Braidbar’s rights respecting committee to hear about their activities.

Teacher Joanna Paterson said: “Earlier in the year our whole school had been involved in the Send My Friend campaign, ensuring children all over the world enjoy their right to education.

“We sent Tam pictures and he was so impressed that it will feature in a document he is creating for the Scottish Parliament! We are proud that our action is having an impact.”
