The service, held at the village’s Parish Church on Sunday, August 3, is being organised by the Parish of Upper Tweeddale, which also includes the villages of Skirling, Stobo and Tweedsmuir.

The service will touch on the effects of the war in the local area and as part of this project, the Parishes of Upper Tweeddale have undertaken over the next four years to remember each of the 58 people commemorated on the various War Memorials on the Sunday nearest to the date of their death.

The service will be held on Sunday, August 3, at 11am. The Lord Lieutenant of Peebleshire Sir Hew Strachan will be attending.
