Brownies clean up wish has bin granted
The 3rd Netherlee Brownies are cleaning up their neighbourhood one letter at a time.
The troupe submitted a letter to last week’s Extra on their world spring clean challenge, after which they’d written to councillor Ralph Robertson to ask for a bin at a nearby litter-covered bus stop.
This week, brown owl Jane Cowan told The Extra: “The ink was barely dry in the paper and the bin has appeared! My Brownies have used their voice to bring to attention an improvement that benefits the whole community.”
