Burgh Standard will fly over Lanark
ALTHOUGH it’s still January, a good old traditional Lanimer Day has already been flagged up thanks to a helping hand repairing a town landmark.
It was feared for a time that in 2014 one of the town’s most recent traditions – of seeing the Royal Burgh Standard proudly flying from the Tolbooth flagpole during Lanimers and other important civic occasions – might have to be discontinued.
