Busby volunteers take out the rubbish

Busby is shining bright after a spruce up by volunteers from the parish church.

Some 30 cheerful volunteers took part in a litter pick on a recent Saturday morning as part of the Keep Scotland Beautiful campaign.

A Busby Parish Church representative told The Extra: “By the end of the morning, they had collected more than 60 bags of rubbish, making the villag look spick and span once more.

“They rounded off the morning earning a well-earned soup and sandwich lunch in the church hall.”
