Campaign raises vital funds for Nepal orphanage

An orphanage in Nepal that was devastated by the recent earthquake horror has stolen the heart of businesswoman Jennifer Smith, who was so touched by the plight of the women and children who came to the house for succour that she started a bucket collection among friends, neighbours and fellow business owners.

The collection raised more than £1,100, which is already winging its way direct to the House with Heart orphanage in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Jennifer, who runs Lifestyle Bathrooms on Cathcart Road, is appealing to likeminded people to call or drop in at the showroom to make a donation.

She said: “There’s so much aid waiting at airports and elsewhere and money is on a slow drip filtering through. Anyone donating to the House with Heart can be assured that it will reach the orphanage direct within a day or two.”
