Car in Forth was struck by something thrown at it

Police are asking for information after an object - possibly a stone - was thrown at a car near Forth, cracking its windscreen on Thursday.

The incident happened just after 6pm, while the vehicle was being driven on the A706 near West Forth Farm.

It was struck by an object thrown from within a group of three males, aged approximately 18 to 20 years old.

The 46-year-old driver was alone in the car at the time.

“This could have had serious implications and witnesses are sought,” said a police spokesman.
