Carluke Primary School Scottish Day 2013 Slideshow

CARLUKE Primary School’s Scottish Day featured Highland dancing by tartan-clad pupils, whose classmates also read Scottish poetry or told stories in Scots dialect.

The stage performances were hugely enjoyed by an audience of parents and friends, in an event celebrating many of the things which make our wee nation great.

“The children were absolutely fantastic,” said Carluke Primary principal teacher Vicky Murray. “The standard of the dancing, poetry reading and storytelling was excellent.
