Carolside Primary class adopts a pet penguin
Carolside Primary pupils have crafted their way to a wild and wonderful class prize.
Inspired by the John Lewis Christmas ad featuring Monty the penguin, class 6c created their own Adélie penguins using origami.
Teacher Mr Hull said: “The pupils were so proud of their models that they decided to make a winter display scene. We uploaded a picture onto the John Lewis website and found out we had won the national competition.”
The prize is a WWF adoption kit, soft toy and Monty book — and the lucky pupils will receive letters from their adopted Adélie penguin.
