Carolside Primary School pupils celebrate batminton achievement

Carolside Primary School’s badminton team recently competed in the national SSBU Gibb Memorial Primary Quaich competition in Motherwell.

Made up of P6 – P7 children who meet on a weekly basis with Mr Barron and Mr Canning for training, performed exceptionally and won seven out of the eight matches played.

There was a three way tie for first place with Carolside Primary School, West End Primary School and Bruntsfield Primary School.

As there was a tie it came down to countback and Carolside were then positioned 3rd.

The pupils received medals at a prize giving in the school last week to celebrate their achievement.
