Carstairs man Tony wins year’s supply of fuel

Retired firefighter Tony, of Lanark Road, revealed that the Halls of Scotland prize will help with his ‘one man taxi service’ for grandson Shawn (14)!

“I’m over the moon to have won,” said the 63-year-old Ford Focus driver.

“We saw the competition on the back of a packet of sausages, entered it and never thought any more of it.

“I then got a phonecall out of the blue to say that I’d won which was absolutely great!

“It’s the biggest prize I’ve ever landed by a distance.

“I won the odd jar of jam when I was still at school but that was about it!”
