Charity 5k raises cash for Riding for the Disabled

A small group of disabled tennis players from the Lenzie based Tennis Aces raised £629 for Riding for the Disabled charity in Glasgow after running a 5k.

Project co-ordinator Allwyn Crawford took a small team consisting of two players and two volunteers on the run near the Lenzie Tennis Club last week with the support of parents and friends along the route, Allwyn said: “This is a remarkable achievement for their first 5k. It is the second time a team has run for charity. Three players previously ran and raised £150 for their trip to the Special Olympics in Sheffield 2017.
