The St Andrew’s Festival, organised by Milngavie Business Improvement District (BID), will take place in the heart of Milngavie on Saturday, December 3, from 12pm until 6.30pm.

The town will be filled with Scottish music, Highland dancing, a pipe band parade, free tasting of Scotland’s Natural Larder dishes, Scottish market, ceilidh music and an official winter lights “switch on” with Alistair Kellock, former Scotland rugby captain.

To keep the little ones entertained, the BID has organised arts and craft activities, puppet storytelling, face painting and even special appearances from Disney’s Frozen characters Elsa and Olaf!

For those looking to celebrate St Andrew’s Day with the whole family, Scotland’s Natural Larder will be providing a selection of seasonal recipes, as well as showcasing the range of game products with cooking and preparation suggestions for each dish.

Free sampling of mouth-watering dishes will be available to taste throughout the day. Some of the recipes from Scotland’s Natural Larder, will be available to purchase from the local shops, as well as local restaurants providing traditional Scottish cuisine.

St Andrew’s Festival in Milngavie has received support as a part of Scotland’s Winter Festivals, a programme of events funded by EventScotland.
