Closure of Giffnock road as part of £3m maintenance programme

A section of a road in Giffnock will be closed next month to allow for maintenance work to be carried out.

Merrycrest Avenue, between Fenwick Road and Thornlea Drive, is scheduled for closure for up to five days, from Monday, October 14, to Friday, October 18.

It’s one of a number of roads in Giffnock where carriageway resurfacing work will be carried out as part of East Renfrewshire Council’s £3 million road maintenance programme, which was announced last month.

Vehicle access will be restricted during the closure period. Pedestrian access will be unaffected.

The alternative route will be Fenwick Road – Merryvale Place – Merryvale Avenue – Thornlea Drive, and vice versa.
