Local charity Cure Crohn’s Colitis (C3) will benefit from the proceeds of the entertaining event which will also include a spot of Greek dancing.

C3 gives 100 per cent of its funds towards medical research. Scotland has one of the highest incidences of the disease in the world, with one child a week being diagnosed at Yorkhill Hospital.

Doreen said: “We do a lot of fundraising at the club - this is the first event in aid of Crohn’s disease.

“There will be a light supper and a raffle and we hope as many people as possible will come along to support such a good cause.

“We aren’t selling tickets. We are asking people to make a donation at the door.”
