College board suspended
Glasgow Clyde College received a hammer blow today when the Scottish Government removed its chairman and governing board.
The relationship between the board and its students had broken down, according to Education Secretary Angela Conrtance.
In a statement to MSPs, Ms Constance claimed the board had breached rules concerning spending public money and mismanaged finances.
College principal Susan Walsh has been suspended on full pay by the board since February, pending a review.
