On the 28th and 29th of April 2014 the girls from new college Lanarkshire Cumbernauld Campus, HND Year 1 Beauty Therapy, ran a Spa Day, with all money raised being donated to charity. The girls in the class had been organising the event, the day was a day where clients would spend the full day in the salon and receive treatments that had been put together by their therapist and enjoy a lunch that was organised by the girls.

As well as running the spa day the girls organised a raffle with tickets being sold throughout the college.

The day proved to be a great success, with the girls’ eforts raising the fantastic sum of £733.47.

All the girls involved in organising and running the day were extremely happy with the money that they had raised and would like to thank all the shops and businesses who donated a prize for their raffle and to all the clients who purchased a ticket for the day.

One of the organisers commented: “The girls all worked hard to achieve what they did but if it wasn’t for the generosity of clients and businesses the day would not have been possible.”
