Could you be the ideal school lollipop warden?

The council is on the look-out for lollipop wardens to cover five local schools, and wants to hear from people who could spare 10 hours per day.

Applicants can be any age, and the post includes morning hours of 8.30am to 9.15am and afternoon hours of 2.40pm to 3.55pm.

Patrollers are currently needed for Carolside Primary, Eaglesham Primary, Busby Primary, Kirkhill Primary

and Thornliebank Primary.

Education convener Councillor Paul O’Kane said: “Being a school crossing patroller is such a rewarding and flexible role.

“We are looking for people across East Renfrewshire to join our team and help our children get to and from school safely.”
