CRAWFORD’S new gala committee were nervous about running their first event – but it turned out a terrific success.

Mary Colley was crowned 2013 Crawford Gala Queen by last year’s leading lady Joey Martin.

Around 40 adults and children took part in the fancy dress and there were loads of fun activities for everyone on the day.

And the organisers are now already looking forward to next year! “It was great,” said secretary Leanne Porter.
