The building won the category of Best Corporate Workplace at the annual British Council for Offices (BCO) Scottish property sector awards.

The FBI-style crime campus, which became fully functional last month, represents the Scottish Government’s largest single investment in architecture in service of the community, bringing a number of law enforcement agencies together for the first time.

It houses officers and staff from Police Scotland’s Specialist Crime Division, the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, the National Crime Agency, HM Revenue and Customs, and Forensic Services.

A Scottish Government spokesperson said: “The Scottish Government is delighted that the Scottish Crime Campus at Gartcosh has been recognised by the BCO as the Best Corporate Workplace in Scotland.

“The crime campus is an outstanding building, providing 21st Century facilities for the police and partners in disrupting and dismantling serious organised crime, providing state of the art forensic laboratories to support the prosecution of crime in Scotland.

“It has been designed with collaboration at its heart.”

The winners from the regional awards will compete in their categories at national level on October 7.
