Arrest made after serious assault in Kilsyth

Police have been dealing with an alleged stabbing in Donaldson Avenue in Kilsyth on Sunday (June 14)

The incident is alleged to have happened at 5.30am. and the victim is understood to be a 22-year-old male.

Police confirmed a 27-year old male was arrested at the scene and charged with serious assault and possession of a knife in a public place.

The alleged victim was rushed to hospital but has since been discharged.

A report on this incident has been sent to the procurator fiscal
