Police at Govan are continuing enquiries after a man was assaulted by two men in the Pollok area of Glasgow on Monday, June 5.

Around 2pm on that date, the 26-year-old man was seen being chased by two men in Househillwood Road, Pollok and thereafter being assaulted when he was punched and kicked by the two men.

The injured man was treated at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for facial injuries before being allowed home.

The suspects are described as being in their 20’s with one of them wearing a hooded top and the other a grey T-shirt and black shorts.

Detective Constable Stephen Walker at Govan CID said: “We are currently viewing CCTV and speaking to local people in the area however at this time we have no apparent motive for this attack.

“I’d like to speak to a man who we can see on CCTV that was walking near to where the incident took place and urge him to contact police immediately.

“Anyone else who has any information that could assist our inquiry is asked to contact Govan CID via 101 quoting incident number 1923 of 5 June 2017. Alternatively information can be made via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.”
