Cyclists and pets warning after sharp tacks placed on Westerton canal path

A warning has gone out to dog owner and cyclists after sharp tacks were strewn over a canal path at Westerton.

A local resident posted on a Facebook community page yesterday: “Just wanted to let dog walkers know that when we were out with our husky today there were tacks down the canal path and they looked placed.” She added: “They went from the station up to Anniesland in different places, so please be aware for you dog’s paws.”

Another resident posted: “Somebody who doesn’t like cyclists.”
