“They attended and found a bin had been set on fire and a large group of youths on bikes made off on bikes from the scene.

“Police attended, however no offenders have been identified at this time.”

He added: “There is a
current trend throughout the local authority area of bins being stolen and then set on fire by groups of youths. It is
despicable behaviour.”

“We are appealing for information and are also putting out this plea to parents: ‘Do you know where your kids are at night and what they are doing?”

Anyone who can help find the culprits should call Kirkintilloch police on 101 quoting incident number 3058 of December 12, 2020.
